remote indication interface
Type RIS-FR
The remote indication interface type RIS-FR is used to retrofit up to 9 short-circuit indicators type FLA3.1 with potential-free SCADA contacts. These contacts can be used to connect the short-circuit indicators type FLA3.1 with an existing wire or wireless remote indication system. The board is equipped with 9 relays so that every FLA3.1 has its own potential-free NO relay contact.
The type of contact depends on the configuration of the short-circuit indicator type FLA3.1.
wipe contact: When no reset remote indication is configured the contact will be a wipe contact. The duration of the wipe contact is customizable.
permanent contact: When a reset remote indication is configured the contact will close on fault indication and will open on reset indication.
The type RIS-FR also provides a remote reset input. By closing this contact (e.g. by a remote controlled relay contact), all FLA3.1 in range of the RIS-FR will perform a reset.
The type RIS-FR is available without and with a housing.
The remote indication interface type RIS-FR consists of a circuit board, which can be retrofitted into an existing remote indication housing. Alternatively, the board can be ordered inside a separate IP65 housing.
The board is self-powered by lithium batteries and can also be connected to external power supplies of 12-110V DC or alternatively 115V/230V AC. The lifetime of the batteries depends on the number of faults/year (approx. lifetime: over 10 years with 30 faults a year without external supply).
Please note: Short-circuit indicators type FLA3 are also fully compatible with the RIS-FR.
One RIS-FR must be installed on each site where fault indications must be transmitted.
