Application
The voltage indicator type SPA can be used in high voltage networks
with a rated voltage of 5 - 35 KV. The voltage indicator monitores the
power level in the network. The result of the evaluation can be
transmitted to a separate control panel (remote indication) or can be
indicated at the instrument itself. |
|
General
Description
The voltage indicator is available in two basic versions.
|
|
1)
voltage detection, voltage indication, remote indication for each of
the three cores.
2) voltage detection, voltage indication, remote indication for only
one core.
Each instrument consists of a sensor, a reading instrument, and a light
mains. The sensors have to be installed with cable straps on unscreened
cables.
The reading instrument (surface-mounted (1) or panel mounted (2)) is
installed outside the high voltage area and is connected to the sensors
via light mains (standard length 1400 mm).
The instrument is supplied with power from the surroundings of the high
voltage cable (via two potential plates).
This power charges a capacitor, which discharges periodically via a
neon lamp. The light flashes of the lamp are transmitted to the reading
instrument via light mains and evaluated by the reading instrument.
The reading instrument needs auxialary voltage for operating (confer
