1) Capacitive Insulator
The capacitive insulator serves as a voltage detector in a Voltage Detection System. Together with the balancing capacitor, the capacitive insulator constitutes a capacitative voltage divider.
The capacitive insulator is designed in a similar way as the common insulators. Both types are exchangeable.

2) Connecting Cables
The connection cable between the insulator and the capacitive voltage ledge is a screened cable. The screened cable is connected to the insulator with a M6 screw terminal and to the capacitive voltage ledge with a flat plug 6.3 x 0.8 mm. The screen of the cable is earthed.

3) Capacitve voltage ledge
The capacitve voltage ledges are manufactured according to the conditions of IEC 61243-5 (VDE0682 part 415). There are two versions available.


a) Capacitive voltage ledge type KSO
This ledge consists of a housing with 3 measuring points for conductor 1, 2 and 3. This ledge is equipped with the complete measuring circuit. A plug-in reading instrument indicates the voltage.


b) Capacitive voltage ledge type KSG
Additionally to 3 measuring points, 3 voltage indicators are installed into this ledge. In case there is no need for voltage indication, the measuring points are earthed through a short circuit plug. The ledge consists of a plug-in housing with the dimension (W*H*D) 124*32*23 mm. The panel cut-out has to be designed according to sheet 38.0530.01. The housing is fixed with two screws on the front side of the housing.

4) Plug-In Voltage Indicator
To detect the voltage situation of each core, the voltage indicator is plugged into the appropriate measuring socket of the ledge.
Existing voltage is indicated through a flashing glowlamp. The voltage indicator works without any power supply.

5) Technical Data
