Application
The short circuit indicator type MF is used in distribution networks
with a radial layout and one input. It is recommendable to use this
indicator in case of sight disturbance, for the protection of labour or
for other reasons which makes it necessary. An LED indicates the short
circuit. The reading instrument needs an independent power supply.

General
Description
The short circuit indicator type MF consists of a reading instrument, 3
sensors and 3 light mains, respectively cables. It is available in two
versions: Version
" L " It is possible to install the sensor on unscreened cables. The
sensors and the reading instrument are connected by light mains. Version
" S ". The sensors have to be mounted on screened cables only. The
connection to the reading instrument is carried out via cable. The
sensors are fixed on the high voltage cable with a frame. This frame is
variable for round cores with a diameter of 15 to 60 mm and for angular
cores with the dimensions of 60 x 12 mm (precision: +/- 10%). The
operating point is separately adjusted at each sensor. The reading
instrument is available for surface- mounting or panel- mounting. The
reading instrument evaluates the detected short circuit impulses and
transmits them for indication. The indicator will reset after a
preadjusted time. Manual reset is possible at any time.
