Design
The
short circuit indicator type SFA consists of
1 pc. reading instrument,
3 pcs. sensors
connection cable
The reading instrument is available as a panel-mounted instrument and
can be equipped with a remote indication contact.
The sensors consists of single sensors; their cable length can be
adjusted by request.
The cables are connected to the reading instrument according to the
information on the wiring diagram.

Function
The sensors can be mounted
1) onto the bushings of the switchgear.
2) onto the screened cable of the switchgear.
3) on the places where the short circuit shall be detected.
In case of a short circuit, a current impulse is generated via the
sensor - due to the high short circuit
current. This current impulse is transmitted to the reading instrument.
The evaluation is performed in the reading instrument.
Indicaton: A short circuit is
indicated by LEDs for each cable.
Reset:
a) The short circuit indication is reset manually via a push button.
b) after a preadjusted time

Assembling
(Please
observe the mounting instruction.)
The sensors have to be fixed at the respective place according to the
assembly instruction.
The panel-mounted instrument has to be pushed into
a prepared
panel-cutout
(dimensions of the cutout: 91.5+0.8 * 44.5 +0.6 mm).
The housing is equipped with spring clamps as a standard (figure 1).
The housing has to be inserted into the cutout and has to be pushed into
the opening with a slight pressure. |
