Application
The high voltage indicator can be used in medium voltage networks with a power level of more than 5 kV.
It is applied in case the information about the voltage level has to be gained out of closed rooms or rooms where a direct inspection is inconvenient. They serve to indicate the existing voltage permanently with a blinking lamp. This type of warning is very effective.

General Description
The high voltage remote indicator has been developped for warning of existing operating voltage. The sensor (1) has to be mounted on unscreened cables. The sensor can be fixed in the same way as with the high voltage indicator. The high voltage remote indicator operates by gaining power from the surroundings of the cable. This power is used for lighting the lamp. These light flashes are transmitted from the high voltage area to a reading instrument by light mains (2) (standard length 2000 mm, other lengths are possible on request). The reading instrument (3) has to be installed at a visible place. The light flashes coming from the light mains are magnified by a lense.
Function
The elctrical potential which exists around the high voltage conductor is used for supplying power from the surroundings of the cable.
This unidirectional power charges a capacitor. A neon lamp is connected to the capacitor, and it flashes for a short time when the striking voltage has been reached.
This is automatically repeated as long as the operating voltage exists.
