Application
These voltage indicators can be used in medium voltage networks with a
rated voltage of 3 kV to 36 kV. Their function is a permanent
indication of the power status of the respective core. The power status
is indicated by a flashing lamp. Thus a highly visible warning signal
is provided. |

General Description
The high voltage indicator is a warning instrument for existing high
voltage. It is not allowed to install this indicator on screened
cables. The high voltage indicator uses the voltage gradient around the
high voltage conductor to gain energy. This energy charges a capacitor. The capacitor is periodically
discharged over a neon lamp. The neon lamp lights at every discharging
process. There are different ways of installing the high voltage
indicator. |

Type B, Type
BR, Type BP
Type B (2)
This indicator must be
mounted with a U-section on the cable. The connection between the
housing and
the U-section is rigid (type B).
The reading instrument can be screwed onto the head or on the sides of the U-section.
Type BR (3)
This indicator must be mounted on the cable like
type B, but between the U-section and the reading instrument there
is a hinge. Due to this
hinge, it is possible to place the reading instrument into the best position
for viewing the indication.
The reading instrument is movable in the range of 80°.
Type BP (1)
This indicator must be
fixed on the cable with cable ties.
