Application
The current pulse instrument is used for testing earth fault indicators
and short circuit indicators.
The instrument can be adjusted (infinitely variable) within the range
of 10 and 1000 A.
The pulse duration is adjustable from 20 ms to 200 ms.
The adjusted current is displayed on a LCD-display.
The instrument is build robustly and thus suitable for application in
the assembly. |

General
Description
The current pulse instrument (1) is incorporated in a metal housing
with the dimensions
(LxWxH) 300 x 210 x 300 mm.
The housing contains a power transformer, a variable-ratio transformer
and the control. On the backside of the instrument (2) is the
connection terminal for the short circuit cable (*).
Use
The instrument is adjusted according to the
instruction manual to the wished current and pulse duration (confer
backside).
Now the short circuit cable is led through the frame of the sensor. By
pressing the button, current pulses can be switched onto the tested
indicator.
The accuracy of the display is +/- 10%. If more precise values are
needed, it is recommendable to measure the adjusted current with a
clip-on ammeter. |
