Capacitive Voltage Ledge type KSO

Design
The capacitive voltage ledge consists of a plasic housing which incorporates a measuring circuit component. The capacitive voltage ledge is a part of the voltage detection system (VDS) .
The VDS-system is designed according to IEC 61243-5.

Function
The voltage coming out of the bushing / capacitive insulator is limited in the capacitive voltage ledge according to the regulations of IEC 61243-5. The balancing measuring circuit component must always be adapted to the assigned bushing / capacitive insulator. For this purpose, the current coming out of the bushing / capacitive insulator has to be measured (confer Appendix D).

Assembling
The housing is fixed with two screws on the front side of the housing. The connections for the coupling electrodes (voltage pick-up in the bushing or in the capacitive insulator) and the earth connection are on the backside of the capacitive voltage ledge. The cables are connected through flat-plugs 6.3 x 0.8 mm. The terminals are protected from water through protection tulles. The measuring circuit component is installed inside the housing.
The panel cut-out for the KS-housing must be accomplished according to figure BN002.
